About Us
Arman Moshkelani and Safa Alasady, a husband-and-wife team, founded Mind & Motion Health. With Arman’s background in physiotherapy and Safa’s expertise in psychotherapy, they dreamed of creating a space where families could feel genuinely supported, mind and body together.
Though their careers began on different paths, they were united by a common purpose: helping people improve their quality of life. Through their professional training and experience, they came to understand that true healing happens when both mental and physical wellbeing are nurtured in harmony.
For Arman and Safa, Mind & Motion Health is more than a clinic, it’s a commitment to their community. Their hope is to offer a welcoming space where children, teens, and adults feel cared for and empowered, and where families can grow stronger with balance, confidence, and resilience.
Our Vision
To become a community hub where mental and physical health come together in one accessible space. By integrating services such as psychotherapy, physiotherapy, massage, chiropractic care, speech and language therapy, audiology, and psychiatry, we aim to make care easier to access, reduce wait times, and support families with complete, connected care so every person can think clearly, move freely, and live fully.
Our Mission
To provide evidence-based, compassionate care that helps children, teens, and families feel understood, supported, and empowered.
Meet the Team
Safa Alasady
Safa works from an evidence-based, client-centered lens, blending clinical skill with warmth and approachability. Her practice focuses on supporting individuals through anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, and family relationship challenges. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Strengths-Based Therapy to meet the needs of each client in a personalized and empowering way.
Safa has earned her certificate in Therapeutic Play Skills from the Rocky Mountain Play Therapy Institute. This training allows her to incorporate developmentally sensitive, child-led techniques — such as symbolic play, storytelling, and art — to help children explore emotions and experiences they may not yet have words for.
Safa’s clinical foundation was shaped by her experience as a Behavioral Health Scholars Fellow at UPMC’s Pediatric Intensive Outpatient Program in Wexford, Pennsylvania, where she treated complex cases of pediatric OCD using ERP. She also completed the University of Pittsburgh’s LEND program, working in interdisciplinary teams to support children with neurodevelopmental and related disorders.
In every session, Safa prioritizes building a safe, trusting relationship where clients feel respected, heard, and empowered. She blends structure and strategy with warmth and curiosity, helping clients explore their challenges with honesty and hope.
In addition to her work at Mind & Motion, Safa also serves as a therapist at OCDNorth and Mind2Heart Connections in Barrie, Ontario, where she continues to support youth and families managing anxiety, OCD, and life transitions.
Outside the therapy room, Safa enjoys kickboxing, biking outdoors, and traveling to new places—embracing movement, balance, and a lifelong love of learning.
Arman Moshkelani
Arman Moshkelani is the co-founder of Mind & Motion Health and a Resident Physiotherapist with a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Limerick in Ireland. With a passion for integrative healthcare and a strong foundation in movement science, Arman is dedicated to helping clients regain strength, restore function, and move toward long-term wellness.
Currently in the process of obtaining his independent licensure in Ontario (anticipated January 2026), Arman is committed to offering physical health services that are evidence-based, functional, and tailored to the whole person.
His approach is informed by a deep respect for how the body and mind are connected — and how physical health can directly impact emotional wellbeing, and vice versa. Arman is passionate about bridging the gap between physical rehabilitation and mental health by creating services that complement therapy, reduce pain, and promote movement with purpose.
Therapy Philosophy:
Arman believes that physiotherapy is not just about fixing injuries — it’s about helping people move better, feel stronger, and live more confidently. He focuses on education, empowerment, and collaborative goal setting to ensure that each client feels involved in their own recovery.
As Director of Physical Health Services at Mind & Motion, Arman looks forward to developing a space where movement-based care complements mental health support, making Mind & Motion a true home for integrated wellbeing.
