Safa is a child and family therapist and co-founder of Mind & Motion Health. She works from an evidence-based, client-centred lens, blending clinical skill with warmth and approachability to support people through anxiety, OCD, emotional regulation difficulties, and family relationship challenges.

She integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Mindfulness, and Strengths-Based Therapy, and uses child-led techniques such as symbolic play, storytelling, and art to help children explore feelings they may not yet have the words for.

In every session, Safa prioritizes a safe, trusting relationship where clients feel respected, heard, and empowered.

Still have a question? Call us at (289) 926-0063 or send a message through the contact page.

Do I need a doctor’s referral?

No, you can contact us directly.

Do you accept insurance?

We provide detailed receipts for clients to submit to their provider.

Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?

We offer both. Sessions are available in person at our King City office or virtually through a secure video platform.

Can I receive care if I live outside King City?

Absolutely. We welcome clients from any city, both in person and virtually.

What is your cancellation policy?

48 hours’ notice is required; late cancellations may be subject to a fee.

What if my child doesn’t want to come to therapy?

This is common. We use creative, play-based, and client-centered strategies to build trust and make therapy feel safe and inviting. Many kids grow to enjoy sessions once they feel comfortable.

How long are psychotherapy sessions?

Standard psychotherapy sessions are 50 minutes. Shorter 30-minute sessions are available in specific situations. Group and family sessions are typically 90 minutes.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your goals, the nature of your concerns, and how you or your child respond to therapy. Some clients benefit from short-term support (6 to 12 sessions), while others continue longer for ongoing guidance or deeper work. We check in regularly to make sure therapy stays meaningful, flexible, and tailored to you.
